Upton Defib Commissioned
It’s great to see that the new defibrillator in Upton has now been commissioned - having used £750 from my councillors community grant fund to help both Hurstbourne Tarrant and Vernham Dean Parish Councils make it happen.
Huge thanks to Parish Councillor John Bentley and his children for replacing the old 'telephone' signs with the new 'defibrillator' ones and volunteers from the village who gave the area a spruce up and rehoused the creepy crawlies. Thanks too to SSEN who agreed to reinstate at no charge the unmetered electricity supply.
The defib in the neighbouring village of Vernham Dean has been used on a couple of occasions to save lives - so they really are vital. Especially in rural locations.
