Town Mills Riverside Gets Underway

I'm pleased to confirm that the first phase of the brand new riverside park at Town Mill gets underway today - with works to create a new entrance into Town Mill car park via Western Avenue.

Delivered in partnership with Hampshire County Council the scheme will help fulfil the Andover Vision's number one priority to make the best use of the river as it flows through the town, by stopping up the road adjacent to Wilko's and greening the whole area. The river is such a stunning feature in the town and much of the feedback we have received from residents and businesses reflects a desire to really make the most of it.

The project, due to be completed later this summer, is in full alignment with the emerging Hemingway Design masterplan for the town - and marks the first stage of our redevelopment of the wider town centre.
